You pursed your lips to hold your thoughts,
Cupped your mouth with your hand when you laugh,
You touched my arm to get my attention,
Which was already fully yours
You told me to not give you more power over me,
But how could I, a mortal man, resist giving his all,
To those brown eyes, that beautiful smile,
The gentle touch of your soft soft skin,
And the sweet kisses you planted on my chest
I wish I could tell you that I love you,
But I know by doing so I would lose you,
You are afraid of disappointing me,
Why does it matter when everyone else has?
At the very least you made me happy
I don’t want us to end,
We coordinate our lives together better than anyone can,
But if it does happen, I’d welcome it with open arms,
I don’t mind being the man that could’ve been,
And you my love that should’ve been.
